Mapema 2005

  • Area: Argentina, Mendoza
  • Grape: Tempranillo
  • Alcohol: 13%
  • Rating: Black 89, Dilettante 89
Description: Cherry, wood, blueberry, raisin, coffee and a hit of spice make up the nose. This Tempranillo is brighter than its Spanish counterparts. The taste is much like the nose only a bit spicier with a savory mouth-feel. The medium length finish has good lift. We liked this one. Decant for at least 30 minutes to get maximum enjoyment from this New World version of an Old World grape.

Price: $13
