La Val Albarino 2006

  • Area: Spain, Rias Baixas
  • Grape: Albarino
  • Alcohol: 12.5%
  • Rating: Black; 84 ..Dilettante; 84
Description: The nose is intensely citrus. Sassy flavors of star fruit and peaches are wrapped around a central core of grapefruit, lemons and limes. It's crisp, refreshing and quite dry. In the mouth there's just enough glycerin to silken the palate without interfering with the tannins. As the wine warms, flavors of peach pit and salt find their way to the front.
Food Pairing: Fish and shellfish dishes
TV Pairing: Bill Maher
Musical Pairing: Andrew Sisters
