Sumarroca Tempranillo 2005

  • Area: Spain, Penedes
  • Grape: Tempranillo
  • Alcohol: 12%
  • Rating: Black 82, Dilettante 82
Description: The leather, smoke, herb and plum nose is the most interesting and complex part of this wine. Watery flavors of dark stewed fruits were overshadowed by too many high notes. Despite its new world brightness, the finish fell flat on its face into a pile of crushed grape seeds. Easy drinking but totally unimpressive. Decant 10 minutes to soften the sharp edges.

Price: $11.99
