Punto Final Malbec 2006

  • Area: Argentina, Mendoza
  • Grape: Malbec
  • Alcohol: 14.2%
  • Rating: Black; 90 Dilettante; 90 NWJR; 90 Mom; 95

Description: The nose has elements of sweet florals, wild cherry wood, mulberry and black plums. This bold and chewy wine attacks sweet and finishes bone dry. It's rich and complex offering up flavors of cocoa powder, assorted dark fruits, and moss. The finish is very long and nicely balanced. Decanting not required although any left-overs are even better the next day.

Food Pairings: Spaghetti and meatballs, grilled steak, tacos and burgers. It is absolutely fabulous with chocolate cake.
