Cartlidge & Browne Pinot Noir 2007

  • Area: California, various locations
  • Grape: Pinot Noir
  • Alcohol: 13.5%
  • Rating: Black; 87 Dilettante 87

Description: The nose has an interesting combination of cherry and cinnamon. On the palate there's a sophisticated range of complex fruit flavors such as pomegranate, berry, cherry and plum preserves. Touches of vanilla, fig, spice and rose petals accent the mix. This wine definitely has that bright California terroir. The nicely long finish has an inoffensive touch of heat at the end. Decanting not required. A few minutes of breathing time, however, brings out its fuller flavors.

Food Pairing: roast chicken, salmon
