Bodegas Norton Privada Estate Reserve 2005

  • Area: Mendoza, Argentina
  • Grape: 40% Malbec, 30% Merlot, 30% Cab. Sauv.
  • Alcohol: 14%

Description: The nose is big and fruity with notes of purple flowers, espresso and black walnut. Intriguing florals open the door to a brooding world of black fruit, cloves, walnuts and a hint of black rice. A subtle acidity holds it all together beautifully. The finish is dry and lingering with just enough black fig to make it interesting. Incredibly silky-smooth on the palate. Decanting not required although a touch of sweetness shows up with a little air. Very yummy.

Price: $15

Note: Excellent with a wood grilled steak, roast duck, roast goose.
