Alamos Malbec Seleccion 2007

  • Area: Argentina, Mendoza
  • Grape: Malbec
  • Alcohol: 13.5%
  • Rating: Black 86, Dilettante 84

Description: The nose is full of ripe blueberry and fruitcake. The attack is bright and fruity. Flavors of cherry, cassis and boysenberry are enveloped by a racy acidity. The acidic finish has a flinty mineral character accented by crushed grape seeds. This wine is young and it shows. Decant at least 30 minutes to tone down its exuberant youth. Better yet, wait a year or two.

Price: $12
