Vega Sindoa 2005

  • Area: Spain, Navarra
  • Grape: 60% Cab Sauv, 40% Tempranillo
  • Alcohol: 14%
  • Rating: Black 86, Dilettante 87
Description: This wine has aromas of oak, ripe red fruit, damp earth, iron and a bit of smoke. The smooth character has flavors of wood, ferns, autumn leaves, red fruit, a hint of spice and a bit of pomegranate. The mouth feel is rich and chewy. The finish is long, woody and harmonious with developed tannins and a hint of red current on the very end. This wine has more low notes than high. Cab lovers should be happy with this one as the cab dominates the tempranillo.

Decanting not required although a light airing accents the softness.

Price: $12
